What’s New At Vinnie’s
It’s hard to believe that June is upon us already. This week Chef Tom has some wonderful summertime fare to kick off the season. With the weather looking so nice, this would be a great week to slow things down, relax on our covered patio and enjoy a perfectly prepared meal as we get ready for Summer.
Start your meal with a timeless Summer favorite, our Fried Green Tomatoes… thinly sliced, fried to perfection, and served to you with house-made Pimento Cheese and Green Goddess Dip. What a treat!
We have a NEW Blue Sky Farms Salad… a variety of Mixed Baby Lettuces tossed in Herb Garden Vinaigrette with House Smoked Mozzarella, Yellow Wax Beans, Pickled Red Onions, Cherry Tomatoes, Radishes, and Cucumbers.
Remember to enjoy our Duck Fat Mushrooms as a supplement to your meal…Wild Mushrooms sautéed in duck fat, finished with shallots and fresh thyme. Also, our Twice Baked Potatoes mixed with Cheddar Cheese, Sour Cream, Butter, Bacon Bits, and Chives then baked again to a Golden Brown and Delicious are the perfect addition to any entree.
Tomorrow, from our friends at Locals Seafood, we will have Fresh NC Grouper. Chef Tom will be serving this over a bed of Herbed Risotto with Yellow Wax Beans and Tomato-Caper Relish . You can also enjoy a Cold-water Maine Lobster Tail as an entrée, or you can always add it to your favorite steak to make it a Surf & Turf. We also have a limited supply of Heritage Farms Pork Chops, fresh NC Flounder and Outer Banks Scallops. With so many options to choose from you’ll have to dine with us more than once this week!
Chef Tom’s search efforts on the Raleigh Greenways have subsided as the scent of sweet yellow Honeysuckle blossoms begins to fade away.
