What’s New At Vinnie’s
It’s hard to believe that June is upon us already. This week Chef Tom has some wonderful summertime fare to kick off the season. With the weather looking so nice, this would be a great week to slow things down, relax on our covered patio and enjoy a perfectly prepared meal as we get ready for Summer.
Start your meal with our Fried Green Tomatoes… thinly sliced, fried to perfection and served to you with house-made Pimento Cheese and Green Goddess Dip. What a treat!
We have a NEW Blue Sky Farms Salad consisting of Baby Mixed Lettuces tossed in a Whole Grain Mustard Vinaigrette adorned with Johnston County Prosciutto, Asparagus Tips, Pickled Red Onions, Radishes, and Cured Egg Yolk.
Tomorrow, from our friends at Locals Seafood, we will have fresh NC Grouper served with Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes, Arugula and a Pecan-Romesco Sauce.
In the Tavern, our Featured Burger is a Fried Green Tomato Burger! Certified Angus Beef Burger, topped with Pimento Cheese, Fried Green Tomato and served with Green Goddess.
Many of you have already been asking about another of Chef Tom’s popular seasonal desserts and it will be just a few more weeks before Peaches and Blueberries really get into season.
In the meantime, come in to try one of our old favorites- Cinnamon Churros with homemade Chocolate Ice Cream, Tequila-Lime Caramel, Toasted Pumpkin Seeds and Candied Lime Zest.
