You know summer is here when you start seeing tomatoes making their first appearances at local farmer’s markets. Chef Tom has been keeping an eye out and they are finally starting to arrive, so you can expect to see lots of tomatoes showing up in our featured dishes for the next few weeks.
This week, Chef Tom would like to start this summer’s tomato-fest in proper fashion…starting with the slightly under-ripe green tomatoes. That’s right…Fried Green Tomatoes are back and this year, Chef Tom is serving them with a house-made White Cheddar Pimento Cheese.
In addition, we will be featuring a fresh catch from Locals Seafood that’s so fresh, we’re still waiting for the boats to come in. And for dessert, for those Chocoholics out there, we will be featuring a Chocolate-Raspberry Lava Cake with Vanilla Bean Creme Anglaise and Fresh Raspberries.
Finally, don’t forget, next Wednesday is the last Wednesday of the month, which means Chef Tom will be offering his Wednesday Night Wine Flight. This month’s Flight will be celebrating the bounty that our local farmer’s are providing for us at all of the local markets. Four courses stuffed with local meat, seafood, cheese and produce with wine pairings for $45 per person. Don’t miss out!
