We would like to inform you that Vinnie’s will be closed for a private event on next Tuesday, Sept. 30th. Not to worry, though, for those of you who like to take advantage of our half-price wines on Tuesday nights, we will be offering half-price wines on Wednesday, Oct. 1st next week. We would like to thank those that were in attendance for our Meet the Maker Dinner with Elizabeth Spencer Winery last Thursday. Chef Tom’s dishes were spot-on pairings for the incredible wines presented by Scott Burgess of Elizabeth Spencer. It was a fun, delicious and entertaining evening. If you were not able to make it, our next Meet the Maker dinner will be on Thursday, Oct. 30th and will feature Certified Angus Beef and Joe Hampton, a CAB rancher from western NC. This week, Chef Tom has some new features to offer. As fall begins to move in, lots of fresh, local greens are beginning to show up at the farmers’ markets. We will be featuring some picture perfect Arugula from Raleigh City Farm with Chevre from Hillsborough Cheese Co., Johnton Co. Ham, Radishes, Pecans and a Pickled Beet Vinaigrette. From our friends at Locals Seafood, we will be featuring NC Clams steamed with House-made Cheshire Pork Chorizo, Potato Gnocchi, Spinach and Cherry Tomatoes. Finally, by request, Chef Tom is featuring a Flourless Chocolate Cake with a Pretzel Crust and Peanut Butter Mousse for dessert. This Vinnie’s classic will only be available for a limited time, so don’t miss out.
