There’s a buzz in the air, and we don’t just mean the cicadas! August is the time of year when summer melts into fall, fresh produce is ripe for the picking, and students are preparing to go back to school. Treat your family to a nice meal out before school starts and try some of our late-summer features. We have our fantastic Fried Okra and Butterbeans, Chef Tom’s new Raleigh City Farm Salad (tomatoes AND watermelon? What?) and our ever popular Blueberry Crostata with Peach Ice Cream. Everything is fresh from our local farmers and farmers’ markets. Of course, we’ll have the best NC seafood available from our friends at Locals Seafood, as well.
Straight off the boat, Chef Tom’s newest seafood feature is NC Tilefish, paired with a Stuffed Marconi Pepper filled with NC Shrimp, Carolina Gold Rice, Shishito Peppers and Goat Cheese. Alongside that is Sauteed Spinach, drizzled beautifully with a Smoky Tomato Jus. Your tastebuds will jump for joy when they try this delicious dish!
