Summer is in full swing and we hope you are finding ways to stay cool, if not Vinnie’s has your solution! The best way to spend a warm summer night is to walk out of that midsummer Raleigh heat into a cooled dining room full of chatter and smells of delicious food. We invite you to enjoy some seasonal dishes, our 1/2 priced Wine Night, a cold drink (or two) and conversation with good friends.
This week in the kitchen, Chef Tom is offering some great local summertime favorites, like Butterbeans and Fried Okra.
Or start your meal with Fresh Green Tomatoes sliced perfectly and fried up, served to you with a house-made Pimento Cheese and Charred Onion Dip, what a treat!
Our Raleigh City Farm Salad features all sorts of goodies from our friends at the Raleigh City Farm, including Mixed Baby Lettuces, Watermelon, Cherry Tomatoes, Radishes, Feta Cheese from Hillsborough Cheese Co., a Pickled Beet Vinaigrette and toped with Grilled NC Shrimp.
From our friends at Locals Seafood, we will have Pan-Fried NC Black Drum with a Corn and Butterbean Succotash and Citrus Butter.
And for dessert, our popular Blueberry Crostata will be here as long as peaches and blueberries are in season! Served with homemade Peach Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce, it is the perfect way to end an already perfect meal.
You may have already picked up a copy of Midtown Magazine’s most recent issue, “The Food Issue”, featuring our very own, Chef Tom Armstrong. In case you missed it, you can get a copy at a newsstand near you or by clicking the link below:
