Remember, next week Vinnie’s will be closed the entire week of July 4th, Tuesday, July 3rd through Saturday, July 7th to give our staff some much needed R&R and to spruce things up a little at Vinnie’s. We will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, July 10th. We hope you have a safe and happy holiday, but we hope to see you at Vinnie’s before the break!
Since we will be closed next week, we will be running our inventory down throughout the week. If you plan to join us for dinner this week and have your heart set on a particular menu item, please give us a call to check on availability.
This week in the kitchen, Chef Tom and his stellar crew have been working hard to provide you with our state’s seasonal best. Begin your meal with our Raleigh City Farm Salad including Mixed Baby Lettuces with Blackened NC Shrimp, Local Watermelon, Feta Cheese, Toasted Cornbread Crumbles, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Radishes and a White Balsamic Vinaigrette.
We love being able to get fresh, local vegetables from our NC farmers. This week we are serving Southern-Style Butter Beans, the same way Grandma use to make. It’s the perfect side to complement any of your favorite menu items.
Tomorrow, we will be receiving fresh NC Swordfish from Locals Seafood that Chef Tom will be grilling and serving with Corn and Butterbean Succotash and Citrus Butter.
The bad news with desserts this week is that we will be finishing up with our Pecan Tart with Mint Julep Ice Cream and supplies are limited. The Very Good News is that we’ll end the week with our highly anticipated NC Blueberry Crostata and Homemade NC Peach Ice Cream and Caramel Sunflower! Our way of wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July!
Later this week, two of our favorite flavors come together in a delectable Crostata made featuring NC Blueberries. This delectable dessert is topped with homemade Peach Ice Cream and finished with a Caramel Sunflower.
